St. Mark the Evangelist Parish in Norman, Oklahoma, is an active, modern, and engaged Catholic community dedicated to deepening personal relationships with Jesus Christ and living out the Christian faith through service and worship. Founded in 1991, the parish invites all to join its loving family and participate in its mission to give glory to God, inspire active faith participation, grow as brothers and sisters in Christ, and bring the Good News to the wider community. The parish offers multiple Mass times, sacramental services, and a variety of ministries for all ages.

Our Parish

Since 1991, St. Mark’s has been a shining example to the wider community of Norman of what it means to live out the Christian faith. The parish strives to deepen personal relationships with Jesus Christ and to put God’s will into practice through words and actions. It is described as an active, modern, and engaged congregation that welcomes visitors and new members.

Ministries

Through service to others we can experience Jesus’ words, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35. The parish offers a wide range of ministries including Faith Formation, Daily Bread, Divorce Ministry, 50+ Group, Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary, Photography Ministry, St. Mark Sisters, St. Vincent de Paul, Seasons of Hope, Prayer Shawl Ministry, and more.

Sacraments

The sacraments are the life of the Church. There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. The parish offers these sacraments and encourages participation in them with the required dispositions.
