Clergy & Pastoral Leadership
The mission is pastored by Fr. Vicente Terrazas, OP, a Bolivian-born Dominican priest ordained in 2001 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. He was incardinated into the Diocese of Savannah in 2017 at the invitation of Bishop Gregory Hartmayer, OFM Conv., and was reappointed pastor of the St. Christopher cluster (St. Christopher Claxton, Holy Cross Pembroke, Our Lady of Guadalupe Sand Hill, and St. Jude Glennville) in August 2022. He is assisted by Fr. Thomas J. Murphy, who was appointed parochial vicar of the same cluster effective August 22, 2022, by Bishop Stephen D. Parkes.

Cluster of Missions (St. Christopher Claxton)
St. Jude is one of four Catholic communities served by a single pastoral team out of St. Christopher Parish in Claxton. The other three missions in the cluster are Holy Cross in Pembroke, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Sand Hill, and St. Christopher itself. Together they span roughly 40 miles of rural South Georgia across several counties.

Annual Guadalupe Pilgrimage
Every year, on the Saturday closest to December 12, members of the parish make a nine-mile walking pilgrimage from St. Jude in Glennville to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Sand Hill to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The procession is accompanied by a police escort, and a breakfast stop marks the point where the route crosses from one county to the next. The walk has become one of the most distinctive expressions of Catholic life in the South Georgia missions.

Migrant Worker Outreach
An outreach ministry dear to the heart of the pastoral team is service to the seasonal migrant farmworkers who arrive on South Georgia farms on worker visas for two planting and harvesting stints each year. The priest and parishioners visit worker camps in the evenings to celebrate Mass, hear confessions, and distribute toiletries, work gloves, clothing, and other necessities. The parish's parent cluster has organized Lenten collections of work and personal-care items, which Fr. Vicente distributes to the workers at St. Jude and in the camps.
