Saint John Paul II Parish in Henderson, Nevada, is a new Roman Catholic community established in 2024, celebrating Mass at Liberty High School while awaiting its permanent building. Founded to serve the growing Inspirada area, the parish emphasizes community over physical structure, guided by the legacy of Pope St. John Paul II. With about 400 parishioners and plans for future growth to 3,500 families, the parish offers ministries, faith formation, and sacraments while fostering hospitality and spiritual growth.

About Us
We’re glad you’re with us. We hope you encounter the Spirit and hospitality taught by St. John Paul II, as well as the love of Jesus, in our community. We are the newest parish in the Archdiocese of Las Vegas, established in 2024 to serve the growing Inspirada area.
Our History
The parish was established in 2024 as the first new parish since Las Vegas became an Archdiocese in 2023. Named after Pope St. John Paul II for his global appeal and contemporary sainthood, it began with Masses at Liberty High School’s theater on March 3, 2024. The parish is still in the process of securing approvals for temporary facilities and a future building site at the intersection of Via Inspirada & Volunteer. The community is growing and actively building spiritual and social connections.

We offer a variety of ministries including Youth Ministry, Knights of Columbus, Hospitality Ministry, Prayer Ministry, and Sacramental Ministry. These ministries are designed to help you grow in faith and serve others in your community.

Faith Formation
We offer Faith Formation for children and youth. Registration is open and can be done online or by contacting Gina at [email protected]. The schedule is available on our website.
Sacraments
We offer all sacraments including Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Confirmation, Marriage, and Holy Orders. The Anointing of the Sick is available upon request. Contact the parish office to arrange this sacred blessing.
