Parish History

Serving Rock Hill since 1919, Saint Anne Parish began with Fr. William J. Tobin as the first pastor. The first church opened in 1920. In 1934, the Oratorian Fathers arrived and expanded ministry. Membership grew to 220 by the 1940s. Under Fr. William Pentis (1983–2004), the parish saw major growth, leading to the construction of a new church dedicated in 1992 and the opening of Saint Anne Catholic School in 1998. Membership reached 3,597 families by 1999.

Our Mission

We are a Eucharistic community blessed with a diversity of cultures all united in the Body of Christ, and we hope that everyone who enters our doors will experience that sense of belonging that makes Saint Anne such a special place.

Community Outreach

The parish continues to serve those in need through acts of charity and compassion. This month, we are collecting non-perishable food items and clothing donations for local families. Your generosity makes a difference—thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ.

Called to Be Missionaries

In Mark 16:15, Jesus gives His disciples a clear and powerful command: “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” These words are not only addressed to the Apostles; they are also addressed to each one of us.
