History

St. Andrew Kim Parish traces its roots to October 1981, when seven Korean families gathered for a Korean-language Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Colorado Springs. The community grew through the faithful ministry of visiting and appointed priests, including Fathers Peter Ryui, Benito Suh, Raymond Lee, Phillip Kim, and Peter Heo. In 1996, Father Adriano Lee Jae Chul became pastor, and in April 1997 Bishop Richard C. Hanifen officially named the community St. Andrew Kim. The church building was dedicated in May 1998 under Father Bergman Lee Yong Woo. Later pastors expanded parish life, including a new parish hall blessed in 2006. Father Ethan Jang became pastor in March 2025.
