History

Sacred Heart Parish was established in 1964 to serve the Catholic community in Hale County. It is one of 60 parishes in the Diocese of Lubbock, which was established in 1983. The parish has grown to serve 9,248 Catholics and offers bilingual Masses and a variety of ministries including youth, family life, and faith formation.

Ministries

The parish offers a wide range of ministries including Youth Ministry (YL), Young Adult Ministry (YL), Women for Faith and Family (WFFF), RCIA, Catechesis, Family Life, Campus Ministry, Vocations Office, and Jail Ministry. These ministries are designed to support the spiritual, educational, and social needs of parishioners of all ages.

Faith Formation
