History

Over six decades Sacred Heart has expanded its program from simple preached weekends to directed retreats, days of prayer, men's and women's retreats, seasonal Advent/Lenten/Autumn retreats, and the full 30-day Spiritual Exercises. Former director Fr. Oulvey, SJ, described the house as 'a physical location created to deepen the spiritual life.' The current director, Fr. Joe Laramie, SJ, took up the role in August 2025.
