About Sacred Heart · Jeannette, Pennsylvania

Sacred Heart Parish in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, is one of two parishes united under the shared pastoral leadership of the same clergy team, alongside Ascension Parish. The parish traces its roots to 1914, when Italian immigrants in the Jeannette area formed a new parish due to language and cultural needs. The first Mass was celebrated in a storeroom, and the church was built on donated land with community fundraising. Today, it offers Mass in English and Spanish, active ministries, and a strong emphasis on faith formation and community service. The parish is part of the Diocese of Greensburg and is currently led by Father Michael Sikon, with Benedictine Father Job Foote as Parochial Vicar.
