History of Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart Church has been part of the Humboldt community since 1872, and has occupied its current location since 1955. In 1977 the parish assumed responsibility for the newly established St. Matthew Mission in Milan, Tennessee. Over more than a century and a half the parish has supported and strengthened its members through the celebration of the sacraments and fidelity to the apostolic tradition.

Faith Formation and Ministries
Sacred Heart runs a Parish Religious Education (PRE) program for children and youth and offers RCIA for adults preparing to enter the Catholic Church. The parish also maintains active ministry to the sick and a funeral ministry, coordinated by its deacons.
