History
Sacred Heart Parish was established in 1934 under the guidance of Reverend W.M. Burke, who arrived in June 1934 and dedicated the church on December 23, 1934. The church was originally built in a converted commercial garage. It survived the 1937 flood with parishioner efforts to restore it. The parish school, opened in 1949, operated until 1978 and was later renovated into the parish center in 1997. The parish has had a succession of pastors since its founding, including notable figures like Fr. Roy Lombard and Fr. Charles Hamlin. The church celebrated its 90th anniversary in June 2024.
Ministries
The parish offers a variety of ministries including CCD, Eucharistic Devotion, Social Ministry, Youth Ministry, Music Ministry, and Adoration Ministry. The Social Ministry reaches out to help the poor, elderly, and homeless. The parish also hosts events like the St. Ann Circle Breakfast and Mission Appeal.

Sacraments

Mass and Worship
Weekend Masses are held Saturday at 5:00PM and Sunday at 9:00AM. Weekday Masses are on Tuesday at 5:00PM, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30AM. Adoration is held Tuesday from 4:00-5:00PM and after each Friday 8:30AM Mass. Benediction is held on the First Friday of the month, preceded by a Novena to the Sacred Heart.
