History
Sacred Heart Parish was established in East Boston in 1873. Father James Fitton purchased land in 1869, ground was broken in 1873, and a wooden Gothic church was dedicated on June 12, 1874. The parish observed its 150th anniversary in 2023.
Sacraments & Faith Formation
The parish provides religious education, Bible study, RCIA, adult confirmation, baptism preparation, marriage preparation, and funeral services.
