Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church (often shortened to ROL) is a Roman Catholic parish serving the Waipio-Waikele area of Waipahu on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, in the Diocese of Honolulu's Central Oahu Vicariate. The parish church was dedicated on December 3, 1985, and grew from earlier mission communities that worshipped in homes, under a tent, and in a warehouse. Today it is a diverse, growing parish with three Sunday Masses, a Saturday Vigil, daily weekday Masses (with a Monday Communion Service), a Saturday confession, and First Friday Eucharistic Adoration, plus an active faith formation program, Life Teen youth ministry, Edge middle school ministry, OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults), and Small Groups for Life.

Fr. Peter Miti and Deacons Joe Ancheta and Darryl Salvador lead a warm, welcoming community that also serves as the Catholic presence for Leeward Community College students and faculty.

Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church (ROL) is a Roman Catholic parish in Waipahu, Hawaii, in the Diocese of Honolulu's Central Oahu Vicariate. The parish was dedicated on December 3, 1985, and serves the Waipio-Waikele community of central Oahu. The parish describes itself as a diverse, vibrant, and growing faith community where all who seek the love and mercy of God are welcome, and it also serves as the Catholic presence at nearby Leeward Community College.
Our History
Before the parish had its own church, the Catholic community of Waipio/Waikele was first a mission of St. Joseph in Waipahu and later of St. John Apostle & Evangelist in Mililani. Parishioners met in homes, under a tent, and in a warehouse while the new parish took shape. The parish was finally established and its church dedicated on December 3, 1985, during the episcopate of Bishop Joseph A. Ferrario, who established two new Oahu parishes during his tenure — St. Jude in Makakilo and Resurrection of the Lord in Waipio.

The parish is led by Rev. Peter Miti, Pastor (who also serves as Vicar Forane of the Central Oahu Vicariate and Secretary of the Diocesan Presbyteral Council). Education & Formation
The parish runs a full religious-education and sacramental-preparation program for children, youth, and adults. In the Diocese of Honolulu, children are prepared for First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion in Grade 2, and registration for those sacraments takes place the last two weeks of August. Children's Faith Formation (K–Grade 5) meets Sundays September through May using the Faith & Life Series curriculum from Ignatius Press, and all catechists and teacher assistants have completed diocesan Safe Environment requirements.

Life Teen (High School Youth Ministry)
Life Teen is the parish's Eucharist-centered high school youth ministry, with the mission of leading teens and their families closer to Christ. Meetings are held every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with food and snacks provided. The parish also runs bi-annual fall and spring retreats, and has sent teens and adults to the National Catholic Youth Conference.
