Resurrection of Our Lord (Giáo Xứ Chúa Phục Sinh) is a personal parish of the Archdiocese of St. Louis serving Catholics of Vietnamese heritage at 3900 Meramec Street in south St. Louis. The parish worships primarily in Vietnamese, with one English Mass on Sundays. The original parish was founded in 1930 to serve the western portion of St. Anthony's parish; the current striking mid-century modern church building, designed by the firm of Murphy and Mackey with a parabolic floor plan, was completed in 1954 and designated a City of St. Louis Landmark in 1976. The Vietnamese Catholic community, which had been gathering at the now-closed St. Thomas of Aquin Church, formally took up residence at Resurrection in 2005, and in 2012 the parish welcomed the Lovers of the Holy Cross, a community of women religious from Phát Diệm, Vietnam.

Parish History
Founded in 1930 as a territorial parish for the western portion of St. Anthony's parish in south St. Louis, Resurrection built its striking modern church in 1954 after outgrowing an earlier multi-purpose building. The City of St. Louis designated the church a Landmark in 1976. The original territorial parish closed in 2005 and was reopened that same year as a personal parish for Catholics of Vietnamese heritage, taking in the Vietnamese Catholic community that had previously worshipped at St. Thomas of Aquin.

Architecture & Liturgical Art
The 1954 church is one of the finest examples of mid-century modern liturgical architecture in St. Louis. Its parabolic floor plan, curved brick walls, and limestone-facade tapestry create a worship space designed to focus attention on the altar and its domed skylight. The interior was decorated in collaboration with liturgical artists in the manner of medieval guild artisans.

Religious Community in Residence
Since 2012, Resurrection of Our Lord has been home to a community of the Lovers of the Holy Cross (Nữ Tu Thánh Thể), a congregation of women religious originally from Phát Diệm, Vietnam. The sisters assist in faith formation, Vietnamese-language instruction, and parish pastoral care.
