Queen of Heaven Catholic Parish is a Roman Catholic community serving Uniontown (Green Township), Ohio, in the Summit County – South deanery of the Diocese of Cleveland. Established in 1964, the parish is led by Father David R. Durkee, pastor, with Father James R. Semonin in residence. The 10-acre campus includes the church, a Perpetual Adoration Chapel, the Parish Life Center, and a dozen outdoor shrines that invite the faithful to 'walk with the saints.' Weekday and Sunday Masses are livestreamed from the church, and a Perpetual Adoration Chapel invites the faithful to commit one hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament. Parishioners feed neighbors through the Labre Outreach (weekly meals to the needy), Blessings in a Backpack (weekend food for Green Local Schools students), and a Bereavement Luncheon Ministry, while Stephen Ministers provide confidential one-on-one care. History of Queen of Heaven Parish
Queen of Heaven Parish was founded in 1964 by Father Robert Hilkert amid the corn fields of Green Township, the image of which still greets visitors in the church vestibule. Six decades later, Bishop Edward Malesic celebrated a standing-room-only anniversary Mass, reminding parishioners that the parish was 'built by solid, stalwart, living stones' whose sacrifices continue to bear fruit. The parish has grown from those farming-village beginnings into a 10-acre campus marked by a dozen shrines, a Perpetual Adoration Chapel, and the Parish Life Center, while remaining focused on its founding mission of bringing others closer to Christ.

Mass and Sacraments
The parish celebrates a daily morning Mass Monday through Saturday and three Sunday Masses (Saturday vigil and two Sunday morning), all of which are livestreamed on the parish website for those unable to attend in person. A Korean-language Mass is celebrated on the third Saturday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Faith Formation and Youth Ministry
The parish forms young disciples through two complementary programs: the Parish School of Religion (PSR) for elementary-age children and a High School Youth Ministry for teens. Together they offer solid Catholic teaching, fellowship, and encounter with Christ across the school year.

Outreach and Charity
Queen of Heaven's outreach ministries feed neighbors near and far — from local Green Local Schools students at risk of weekend hunger to homeless individuals served each Thursday through the Labre Outreach. Parishioners also care for the bereaved and accompany those in crisis through Stephen Ministry.
- Labre Outreach: Thursdays, kitchen prep 11 a.m.–1 p.m., distribution 4–5 p.m.; prepares hot meals, groceries, and personal items; donations collected in the Labre cupboard in the Gathering Space
- Blessings in a Backpack: weekend food for Pre-K–12 students in Green Local Schools; 'Summer Blessings' food boxes in summer; packing at Green Intermediate School's maintenance garage across from the church (supported 12+ years)
- Bereavement Luncheon Ministry: catered meal served to families and friends after a funeral; funerals livestreamed on the parish website
- Stephen Ministry: nine trained ministers offering confidential one-on-one care to anyone over 18 (loss, illness, divorce, relocation, financial crisis, etc.)
Queen of Heaven Meals Ministry
Referenced alongside Labre and other outreach, the Meals Ministry mobilizes parishioner cooks and volunteers to provide food for neighbors in need throughout the community.
Korean Mass Community
Queen of Heaven serves the local Korean Catholic community with a Mass celebrated in the Korean language, held on the third Saturday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the church.

Shrines and Prayer Spaces
Across its 10-acre campus, Queen of Heaven maintains about a dozen outdoor shrines and prayer spaces. A wooded trail invites the faithful to 'walk with the saints,' and in 2024 Bishop Malesic blessed a new shrine to St. Dymphna, patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders, built by a parishioner Eagle Scout.
