History
Queen of Apostles opened in 1964 alongside its parish school, growing out of the explosive post-war development of the Santa Clara Valley. Its founding pastor was Father Elwood Geary, and the school was opened under the direction of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM). Before the church building was finished, the auditorium of nearby Mother Butler Memorial High School (also RSHM) served as the parish's worship space for two years. In 1985 pastoral care of the parish was assumed by the Marianist Community (Society of Mary), and from 2007 onward diocesan priests took over the pastorate. A community center with gymnasium was added in fall 1999, a preschool was launched in 2012, and under Father Anthony Uytingco (2024–present) the parish has emphasized renewed Eucharistic devotion alongside Marian devotion to its patroness.

Faith Formation & Family Catechesis
Under Director of Faith Formation Kristie Manning, Queen of Apostles has launched a twice-monthly family catechesis program that brings parents into formation alongside their children. Weekend workshops combine parent breakout sessions with joint community activities, supplemented by home-based projects like poster displays and chalice crafts designed to unite school and parish families. The parish also applied for and received a Catholic Community Foundation Living the Faith grant to host a First Holy Communion family retreat, building on last year's deanery-wide retreat for the elect.

Prayer Life & Devotions
Beyond Sunday and daily Mass, Queen of Apostles nurtures prayer through weekly Eucharistic Adoration on Saturdays, weekday virtual community Rosary at 7:00 PM, Bible study, and devotions centered on the Blessed Mother under her title as patroness of the parish. Confessions are heard Saturday afternoons in Our Lady's Chapel, the same intimate space that hosts Adoration.

Outreach at Queen of Apostles flows through several dedicated groups, including the parish's St. Vincent de Paul conference and a Social Justice ministry that works for systemic change. The Home-bound Ministry brings the Eucharist and companionship to parishioners who cannot easily attend Mass, and the parish maintains Hospitality and Grief Support ministries to walk with people through ordinary and extraordinary moments alike. Father Anthony Uytingco's stated pastoral priorities — bringing people closer to the Eucharist and to devotion to the Blessed Mother — give the parish a clear spiritual frame for these works of mercy.

Queen of Apostles School (TK–8)
Co-located with the parish and sharing the same 1964 founding, Queen of Apostles School is a coeducational Transitional Kindergarten through 8th-grade Catholic elementary school in Silicon Valley, educating roughly 250 students. The school is committed to educating the whole child — spiritually, intellectually, psychologically, sociologically, and physically — in partnership with families. The parish and school share a community center/gymnasium (built 1999) for PE, athletics, assemblies, and social events. The school's preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds, added in summer 2012, extends its reach even younger.
