Queen of Apostles is a Catholic parish in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, one of the larger parishes of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, serving 800+ families at the corner of Capitol Drive. Its current church was dedicated on June 26, 1999, by Archbishop Rembert Weakland, OSB, but the parish's spiritual roots reach back to two mid-1800s Pewaukee mission churches — Sts. Peter and Paul (1848) and St. Mary (1858) — which merged in 1997 to form the present-day parish. Today Queen of Apostles offers daily and weekend Masses, year-round faith formation for children and youth, an OCIA process for adults, an active music and liturgy program, and a broad service and stewardship commission network that includes a parish school, a Fish Fry tradition, Knights of Columbus council, and outreach projects such as St. Vincent de Paul meals and Mercy Mats for the homeless.

Mission & History
Queen of Apostles identifies itself as one of the area's largest houses of worship, yet it retains a small-town, close-knit community feel. Its current church was built in 1999, but the parish's spiritual roots reach back to two mid-1800s Pewaukee mission churches — Sts. Peter and Paul (organized 1848) and St. Mary (organized 1858). The two Pewaukee congregations merged on July 1, 1997, and on June 26, 1999, Archbishop Rembert Weakland, OSB, dedicated the new Queen of Apostles Catholic Church. The parish celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024 with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki.

Child & Youth Faith Formation
The Lifelong Faith Formation Commission's mission is to help children, youth, and their families grow in personal conversion to God, active membership in the Church, and the transformation of society. Programming spans K4 through Grade 12, including sacramental preparation and a monthly youth Confirmation program in the evening.

Becoming Catholic (OCIA)
Queen of Apostles runs the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) for adults who wish to explore or enter the Catholic faith. The parish welcomes unbaptized adults, baptized Christians entering into full communion, baptized Catholics who have not yet received Eucharist or Confirmation, and adults seeking Confirmation — as well as families wishing to have school-age children baptized.

Adult Faith & Small Groups
Adults find opportunities for ongoing formation through Scripture-based small groups, the parish library, and sacramental preparation ministries. Hospitality and book study programs welcome newcomers and longtime parishioners alike.

Liturgy at Queen of Apostles is supported by a team of liturgical ministers across all weekend and weekday Masses, with training provided. Volunteers of all ages — children starting in Grade 4 through adults — can serve weekly or monthly.

The Stewardship Commission describes itself as 'a community building ministry with activities designed to invite, encourage, welcome, and sustain parishioners as Disciples of Christ,' meeting the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm in Grellinger Hall. Parishioners of all ages find ways to connect socially and serve one another.

Queen of Apostles School
Queen of Apostles School — separate from the parish website at queenofapostlesschool.net — continues the parish's long educational tradition tracing back to St. Mary breaking ground in 1957 and opening classes on September 3, 1958. It is one of the centers of ministry strengthened through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's Love One Another campaign.
Love One Another Renovation
Through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's five-year, $150 million Love One Another campaign, Queen of Apostles raised nearly $1.2 million toward a $1,073,000 parish goal — funding the church's first major interior renovation since opening in 1998/1999. Volunteer leadership included trustee secretary Dale Servais and nearly two dozen other parish volunteers. The refresh gave the worship space new earthy paint tones chosen to feature the statue of Queen of Apostles, prompting parishioners to call the result "a new church."
