Queen of Angels Chapel is a Catholic chapel located in Spicewood, Texas, in the Pedernales Valley west of Austin. It is a satellite campus of Emmaus Catholic Parish, which is based at the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Lakeway. Together the two campuses form one parish that serves the growing Catholic community of the Lakeway–Spicewood area, with parishioners free to attend Masses and events at either location. Queen of Angels offers a small, intimate worship setting, with Sunday and weekday Masses, a praying Rosary tradition, and outreach ministries shared with the wider parish.

About Queen of Angels Chapel
Queen of Angels Chapel is the Spicewood campus of Emmaus Catholic Parish, dedicated to serving Catholics in the Spicewood and Pedernales Valley areas of Texas. Rather than being a stand-alone parish, it is part of one parish with two locations: the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Lakeway and Queen of Angels in Spicewood. Parishioners register with Emmaus Catholic Parish as a whole and are welcome to attend Masses and events at either campus.

History of Emmaus Catholic Parish and Queen of Angels
Emmaus Catholic Parish has its roots in 1963, when Monsignor Richard McCabe began saying Mass in the Lakeway Inn and in parishioners' homes. After an unusual ecumenical partnership with a local Protestant congregation that shared the Lakeway Ecumenical Church from 1975, the Catholic community dedicated its own church — the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord–Emmaus Catholic Parish — in January 2001. Queen of Angels Chapel was added in December 2004 after land in Spicewood was donated to the parish, extending Emmaus's reach into the Pedernales Valley. The Emmaus Parish Life Center, completed in 2011, brought classrooms for faith formation and early childhood education under one roof.

Mass and Worship Schedule
Masses at Queen of Angels are intentionally limited to twice weekly, reflecting the chapel's intimate scale and its role as a worship home for the rural west side of the parish. Parishioners who want a fuller daily Mass schedule are invited to attend the main Emmaus campus, which offers additional daily Masses, a Saturday Vigil, and Spanish Masses.

Sacramental Life
Because Queen of Angels is a chapel and not the parish's main church, most sacramental preparation and celebration is coordinated through the Emmaus Parish Office. Reconciliation (Confession) is offered at scheduled times at the main Emmaus campus and by appointment. The parish also brings Holy Communion to the homebound and to those in need on request.

Clergy and Pastoral Staff
Because Queen of Angels is a chapel of Emmaus Catholic Parish, it is served by the parish's pastor and parochial vicar. The pastor is appointed by the Bishop of Austin, currently Most Reverend Joe Vasquez, and oversees the spiritual life of both the Lakeway and Spicewood campuses.

Faith Formation and Education
Faith formation at Queen of Angels is delivered through the parish's shared programs at the Emmaus Parish Life Center, which opened in 2011. Children and adults from the Spicewood campus participate in age-appropriate formation there, alongside the Emmaus Early Childhood Education Program.

Getting Involved
Volunteers are the backbone of Queen of Angels chapel life. All volunteers must complete Ethics & Integrity in Ministry (EIM) training, after which they may serve as liturgical volunteers, hospitality hosts, outreach ministers, or members of parish societies.
