Why belong here

Pure Heart of Mary is a small, family-sized parish where the entire Catholic sacramental life is celebrated in an intimate setting along the Columbia River. Belonging here means being part of the historic tri-parish My Parish Family community, sharing Sunday Mass (1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays at 12:30 PM) with neighboring Sacred Heart in Kettle Falls and Immaculate Conception in Colville, where most sacramental preparation, OCIA (adult initiation), religious education (Sundays 10:30–11:30 AM), and confession times are offered. Visitors and parishioners are warmly welcomed by name, and the parish keeps in touch through Flocknote texts, Facebook, and a shared weekly bulletin.

Faith Formation & Religious Education

The tri-parish community runs a shared religious education program for children in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Classes meet almost every Sunday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall in Colville. Catechists are volunteers, and the program welcomes parents and parishioners to help nurture the children's faith.

Adult Faith Formation – "Mystery of Faith"

Created for Catholics looking to learn or re-learn the keys to their faith, or for anyone interested in becoming Catholic. Sessions meet Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the Immaculate Conception library from September through May. No pre-registration is required — each lesson stands alone, so attendees won't 'fall behind.'

OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

The OCIA process in the Catholic Church helps adults prepare to join the Church or to receive the Sacraments of Initiation. This includes those not baptized, those baptized in another Christian tradition, and Catholics who have not yet completed their sacraments. Interested adults should contact the parish office at (509) 684-6223.
