Our Lady, Queen of Peace (OLQP) is a vibrant, multicultural Catholic parish in Arlington, Virginia, founded in 1945 and dedicated in 1947. Served by the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans) since its beginning, OLQP is known for warm hospitality, strong liturgical life, and an enduring commitment to racial justice and outreach to the poor. The parish celebrates Mass in English and Spanish and serves more than 1,500 families from diverse backgrounds.

History
OLQP was born from the faith and determination of sixteen Black Catholics who asked Bishop Peter Ireton for their own church in Arlington. Groundbreaking took place in 1946 and the church was dedicated on Pentecost Sunday in 1947. The parish has been led by Spiritan priests ever since and has stood at the forefront of racial justice, refugee support, and homeless outreach in Northern Virginia.

Worship
The parish offers a full weekend and weekday Mass schedule in English and Spanish, plus bilingual Holy Day liturgies. Sunday worship ranges from early morning to an evening young-adult Mass, with a Spanish Mass at 1:00 pm.

- Weekday Mass Monday–Friday at 12:00 pm

Outreach and Ministries
Rooted in Matthew 25, OLQP emphasizes service to the hungry, homeless, immigrant, and poor—both locally and internationally. Parishioners support education, agriculture, and health projects in Medor, Haiti, while also feeding day laborers and assisting neighbors through the food pantry.
