A MESSAGE FROM FATHER ALAN Dear Members of the Pelican Valley ACC, From “Care for Creation” LET US PRAY Gracious Creator, We ask for the grace to embody our mission in every field, forest, body of water and garden in every community we serve throughout our diocese. Mold us into Your heart of mercy, voice of hope, and hands of justice, that we may tend to all creation with the same love You poured into its making. Help us to cherish our rural tradition, respecting the beauty and sacredness of the earth. As we draw on the values of the generations before us, grant us the wisdom to protect these gifts, recognizing that caring for creation is vital to seeking justice for all at every stage of life. Empower us to dedicate our lives to building up the kingdom of God through our stewardship. May our care for the environment witness the love of Christ and enhance our missionary discipleship through our words and actions, preserving the dignity of your creation and beauty of our diocese for all generations to come. Amen.
The Journey Newsletter
This issue of the Pelican Valley Area Catholic Community newsletter shares important updates and hopeful news as our parish family continues through the “All Things New” process in our diocese. Readers will learn about the formation of a new parish that brings together St. Elizabeth, St. Leonard, and Our Lady of Victory, along with what this means for our shared future while we continue operating in all three worship sites. Inside, Fr. Alan reflects on this time of transition and collaboration, highlighting the work already happening across our communities in staffing, ministries, and pastoral life. The newsletter also introduces the upcoming ACC transition team that will help guide decisions around parish naming, governance, and the combining of finance and leadership structures, all while seeking wisdom and unity through prayer and the Holy Spirit.
