Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Helena, Montana, was founded in 1974 as a satellite parish of St. Mary’s and has grown into a welcoming community of over 300 families. The parish celebrates Mass weekly on Sundays at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with weekday Masses on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM. It offers a range of ministries including faith formation for children and youth, liturgical ministries, and social outreach. The parish is committed to building a loving Catholic community, proclaiming God’s Word, and serving the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of its members and the broader Helena area.

About Us
Our Lady of the Valley Parish was founded in 1974 as a satellite parish of St. Mary’s. Fr. Richard Sodja celebrated the first Mass on April 9, 1974. We built and they came. Today, Our Lady of the Valley Parish is a welcoming community of over 300 families and continues to grow.
Ministries
Our ministries include Faith Formation for children and youth, Liturgical Ministries (Greeters, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, Music, Children’s Liturgy), and Social Ministries (Pastoral Council).

Sacraments & Services
