Our Lady of the Rosary Parish is a small, bilingual Roman Catholic parish located at 1123 Main Drive on the west side of Corpus Christi, Texas, within the Diocese of Corpus Christi. Established in 1977, the parish serves a close-knit, welcoming community and also cares for three mission churches: St. Vivian Mission in Petronila/Robstown, St. Mary Mission in Robstown, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mission in Clarkwood (currently damaged and out of use). Parish History and Identity

Our Lady of the Rosary was established in 1977 as a parish of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, according to the diocesan records indexed by GCatholic. The parish takes its name from the Blessed Virgin Mary under her title of Our Lady of the Rosary, whose feast day is celebrated on October 7. As a parish of the Diocese of Corpus Christi — established in 1912 from the former Vicariate of Brownsville — Our Lady of the Rosary is part of a broader Catholic heritage on the South Texas coast that traces its roots to sixteenth-century Franciscan missionary work.

Faith Formation and Religious Education

The program includes First Communion preparation (English: Saturdays 10:00–11:15 AM and Thursdays 6:00–7:00 PM; Spanish: Saturdays 10:00–11:15 AM and Wednesdays 4:30–5:45 PM) and Confirmation preparation for students in grades 8 through 12. Tuition is structured on a per-family basis (capped at $180) with an additional $250 retreat fee for second-year Confirmation candidates, and families commit to selling or purchasing $100 in raffle tickets for the October parish festival and to 20 hours of volunteer service to the parish.
