Our Lady of the River is a vibrant, welcoming Catholic community in LeClaire, Iowa, dedicated to knowing and imitating Jesus through the Eucharist, education, and service. Formed in 1969 by the merger of two earlier missions, the parish has grown into a center of faith life with active ministries, regular Masses, and outreach events like Hog Roasts and adoration. The church building was constructed in 1979, and the parish continues to serve its community with a diverse staff and welcoming spirit.

Parish Origins
St. James Mission in Princeton, Iowa (established in 1923) merged with St. Henry Mission in Le Claire, Iowa (established in 1935) to form Our Lady of the River Church in 1969. Father Anthony Conrad was the first pastor. In 1973, a new parish center was built between Le Claire and Princeton at the current church site. The church structure was built in 1979.
