History
According to the GCatholic directory, Our Lady of the Lakes was established in 1948 to serve the Catholic faithful of the Monticello area in White County. For most of its history it operated as a single, independent parish under the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. In recent years it was grouped with St. Joseph, Delphi and St. Joseph, Reynolds into the Pastorate of the Holy Trinity, a collaborative model in which one pastoral team — currently Fr. Daniel Duf as Missionary Pastor and Fr. Christopher Miller as Senior Parochial Vicar — ministers across all three worship sites. The pastorate has published a 2023–2025 Vision Plan and is currently working through a 'Pastorate Name Initiative' to choose a single identity for the combined community.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
The OLOL Faith Formation program serves children in grades 1 through 8 in partnership with parents, with sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, plus OCIA for the unbaptized and OCIC for unbaptized children age 7 or older. The program uses the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies for at-home family learning, with once-a-month gatherings for community and group learning from September through May. Director of Religious Education Maribel Martínez oversees the program.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry of Our Lady of the Lakes is directed by Deacon Michael J. Booth, OFS, and supports worship at the parish's Sunday and Sacramental Masses, as well as funerals. Members commit to weekly or scheduled practices and a willingness to lead the assembly in song.

Hispanic Ministry
A bilingual Spanish Mass is celebrated every Sunday at noon, and the parish is supported by a Coordinator of Hispanic Ministry who helps integrate Spanish-speaking parishioners into the life of the parish. Both priests and at least one staff member in each parish speak Spanish, and the bulletin is published in both English and Spanish.

Sacraments
Our Lady of the Lakes offers the full range of Catholic sacraments.
