About Our Lady of the Greenwood · Greenwood, Indiana

Our Lady of the Greenwood is a Roman Catholic parish in Greenwood, Indiana, serving more than 2,400 families in Johnson County in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. The parish grew from a 1949 mission of St. John the Evangelist in Indianapolis into a thriving faith community with a school (K-8), a 1,000-seat church dedicated in 1998, and ministries in both English and Spanish. Its bilingual mission statement calls the parish family to 'bring Christ more fully' to Greenwood and the wider community, and that mission is lived out through daily Mass in English and Latin, a Sunday Mass in Spanish, perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, a food pantry, religious education, and a school serving grades K-8.

The parish combines a K-8 school staffed with a Religious Education program directed by Sister Louitta Mary, a Youth & Family Ministry, a Music Director & Liturgy Coordinator, and a Food Pantry that assists local families in need — giving newcomers real ways to grow in faith, serve neighbors, and raise children in the Catholic tradition.
