Parish History
The original OLPH (Old Mission Church) was built in the late 1920s by Mexican-American families during the Great Depression. With help from Bishop Gercke, Father Manuel Almuedo, and local volunteers, the first church was constructed using adobe bricks. The first Mass was celebrated on October 14, 1933. The parish was canonically erected in 1949.
