Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Minneapolis is a vibrant, inclusive parish established in 1910 for Italian Catholics, now serving a diverse community including Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Catholics. Known for its strong Deaf Ministry and ASL-interpreted Masses, the parish offers a welcoming, intimate atmosphere with active ministries and sacramental life. It moved into its current church in 1938 and welcomed the Archdiocesan Office for the Deaf in 1986, expanding its mission to serve neighbors beyond its original Italian roots.

Our Mission & Our History
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord. - Luke 4:18-19
- Established in 1910 for Italian Catholics in NE Minneapolis.
- Moved into current church in 1938.
- Archdiocesan Office for the Deaf joined in 1986.
- Serves 170 families including Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Catholics and neighbors from NE Minneapolis and beyond.

Sacraments & Liturgy
Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 10:30 AM with ASL and voice interpretation. Confession is available by request. First Eucharist, Confirmation, and Anointing of the Sick are available by contacting the parish office.

Community & Events
The parish hosts an annual festival with Mass, rosary procession, food, games, and raffle. Deaf and hard-of-hearing parishioners are actively involved in liturgy and ministry. The parish also supports the Deaf community through ASL interpretation and outreach.
