Our Lady of Lourdes is a multicultural Roman Catholic parish in San Francisco's Bayview–Hunters Point neighborhood, in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Worship takes place at two sites — Our Lady of Lourdes Church (410 Hawes St) and the historic All Hallows Chapel (1440 Newhall Ave) — served by Augustinian (OSA) priests. The parish is known for its vibrant African-American Gospel Mass, a Spanish-language liturgy, and a Samoan choir, alongside active Filipino, Hispanic, and other communities. Parish History & Heritage
The parish's roots reach back to 1886, when Irish, Italian, and Maltese settlers in the Hunters Point shipyard area dedicated All Hallows ('All Saints') Church on a hill above the bay. Our Lady of Lourdes Church itself was moved to its present site in 1942 and the parish marked its 80th anniversary in 2022; All Hallows celebrated its 135th in 2021. After All Hallows closed in 1994, it reopened in 1997 as All Hallows Chapel and remains part of the parish today.

Parish Staff & Clergy
The parish is administered by Augustinian (OSA) friars of the Archdiocese of San Francisco and supported by a lay and religious staff. The administrator is Rev. Andrew Ibegbulem, OSA, assisted by parochial vicar Rev. Martin Achi Yusuf, OSA. Sr. Eva Camberos, MFP serves as Pastoral Associate and Director of Hispanic Liturgy, Pat Mann directs Religious Education, Terry Oertel chairs the Parish & Financial Committee, and Theria Boyd manages Liz Bell Hall.

Multicultural Parish Life
Our Lady of Lourdes is intentionally multicultural — the parish website describes it as 'called and sent by Christ to live gratefully the life God has given us in our multicultural community.' Four language and cultural communities are at the heart of parish life: African-American, Hispanic, Samoan, and Filipino. Each brings its own style of worship, from the exuberant Gospel Mass to French-influenced Samoan processions with fresh leis and a robust Spanish-language liturgy.

Faith Formation & Religious Education

Sacraments
Our Lady of Lourdes celebrates the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, grouped by the parish in the traditional categories of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation), Healing (Penance/Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick), and Vocation (Marriage, Holy Orders). The parish teaches that 'the whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments' (CCC 1113) and that sacramental ritual infuses the faithful with God's grace.

All Hallows Chapel
All Hallows Chapel, dedicated November 1, 1886 and sitting on a hill overlooking Hunters Point for over a century, is the parish's historic second worship site. After being closed in 1994, it was reopened in 1997 as part of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Today it is the home of the parish's daily Mass (Tuesday–Friday 8:30 a.m.), the Saturday Spanish Mass, the Sunday Samoan-Choir Mass, Saturday confessions at 3:30 p.m., and the monthly First Friday Eucharistic Adoration.
