History
The mission was founded in 1964 to bring the Sacraments and the Mass to the farming community of Three Rocks, miles from the nearest full parish. It is administered as a dependent mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Mendota, sharing the same pastor and parish office. In 2018 the Fresno Bee reported that, beginning in 2001, Rev. Gaspar Bautista had been assigned to both Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mendota and the Mission of Our Lady of Lourdes in Three Rocks, serving the two communities until he was placed on administrative leave in March 2016.
