Why belong here
Our Lady of Lourdes is one of Dallas's most vibrant Spanish-language Catholic parishes, with four Sunday Masses in Spanish and one in English, a daily 7:00 PM Mass, and Confession every Friday. It is a Capuchin Franciscan parish with a deep mission culture: every September the parish hosts a Stewardship Sunday and Ministry Fair that showcases lay groups ranging from the Charismatic Prayer Group, Guadalupanas, Knights of Columbus, Cursillistas, and Padre Pio Prayer Group to active outreach through the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and Dallas Area Interfaith. Families looking for faith formation will find RCIA for adults and children, a CCD religious-education program, a youth group, and a 'Young Adults' community — all grounded in a parish that sees being Church as something you do, not just somewhere you go.

Parish Identity & Capuchin Franciscan Heritage
Our Lady of Lourdes is a Roman Catholic parish in the Diocese of Dallas that has been entrusted by the bishop to the Capuchin Franciscan Friars (Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, OFM Cap.). The friars live in a residence on the parish grounds and provide all of the sacramental ministry. The parish identifies itself as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit corporation whose mission is 'to nurture a diverse and welcoming community, committed to following fearlessly wherever God is leading us and make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of Dallas and the world.'

- Bilingual parish: predominantly Spanish-speaking with one English Sunday Mass
Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith formation at Lourdes follows the post-Vatican II understanding of Christian initiation, with parallel tracks for adults and children/youth. The parish clearly states that, after receiving First Communion and Confirmation, young Catholics 'are not done' and should keep learning about the Catholic faith.
- Adults RCIA — Sundays at 12:15 PM
- Children's RCIA — Sundays at 12:15 PM
- Children / Youth Faith Formation (CCD) — contact the Religious Education Office at (214) 678-0487
- Youth Group — Sundays at 12:00 noon ('experience Jesus with other kids your age: fun, Bible, games')
- Three RCIA principles on the parish site: family-centered catechesis including parents; Sunday Eucharist as the center of weekly faith life; and a balance between community hours and evangelical meaning
Parish Ministries & Lay Movements
The Stewardship Sunday / Ministry Fair describes Lourdes as 'as generous and evangelical as the people in the pews are.' Each of the parish's lay groups is invited to recruit new members at the annual fair, and the Pastor regularly invites parishioners to 'go to the TLH [parish hall] that Sunday morning, inquire, ask, and hopefully be involved in any of the groups of your Community.'
