Patron and Patronal Feast
The parish is named for Our Lady of Lourdes, in honor of the 1858 Marian apparition to St. Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France — a devotion long associated with healing and with the Blessed Virgin Mary's intercession for the sick. The parish shares its feast day with the universal Church on February 11.
