History
Our Lady of Lourdes was established in 1947 and has served the Catholics of Windsor and the surrounding area for more than 75 years. In 2009, in response to the priest shortage affecting upstate New York, it was joined with three neighboring parishes — St. Joseph's in Deposit, St. Joseph's in Sanitaria Springs, and St. Mary's in Kirkwood — to form the Catholic Communities of Eastern Broome County Parish Cluster. Each parish kept its own identity, but shared leadership and Sacramental ministry became the new normal.

Parish Life Director Model
Because the cluster has no resident pastor, day-to-day operations of Our Lady of Lourdes and its sister parishes are led by Parish Life Director Barbara Kane, who handles scheduling, communications, pastoral visits to the sick, and coordination with visiting priests. Msgr. John Putano, regional vicar for the Diocese of Syracuse, serves as the priest assigned to help administer the cluster.

Sacramental life across the cluster is sustained by retired priests who travel among the four churches. Sunday Masses are covered by Fr. Edward Zandy and Fr. Robert Dwyer, with occasional assistance from Fr. Dan Quinn of the Diocese of Albany. The administrative team supports all four parishes.

Mass & Service Times
Our Lady of Lourdes, Windsor, celebrates its weekly Sunday Mass at 9:00 AM. After Mass, parishioners are invited to gather for the Sunday Coffee Hour — a long-standing fellowship tradition at the parish. Other sacraments and devotions can be arranged through the joint parish office.

Faith Formation & Sacramental Preparation

The cluster has formed an Evangelization and Faith Formation Committee to strengthen catechesis and family involvement in the face of shrinking numbers.
