Our Lady of Lourdes is a Roman Catholic parish in Brockton, Massachusetts, one of three parishes — together with Christ the King and St. Edith Stein — that form the Brockton Catholic Tri-Parish Collaborative, established in 2011 in the Archdiocese of Boston. Rooted on Brockton's south side along West Street, the parish serves a richly diverse community and gathers for two Sunday Masses, a Saturday Vigil, and weekday Masses on Wednesdays and Fridays in English. About Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

History of the Tri-Parish Collaborative
The Brockton Catholic Tri-Parish Collaborative was formed in 2011 when the Archdiocese of Boston appointed Fr. Joseph K. Raeke as Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, Christ the King, and St. Edith Stein parishes. In the years leading up to the collaborative, the Rev. Francis J. Clougherty served as pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes and as regional vicar during a season of parish reorganizations in Brockton. To mark the Tri-Parish Celebration of Faith, seminarians Chris Bae and Joe Hubbard, with illustrations by Joe Shaw, compiled a history booklet chronicling the Catholic churches of the city; printed photographs from the project remain on display at all three parishes.

The collaborative is led by Pastor Rev. Matthew J. Westcott, with Parochial Vicars Rev. Joaquim Furtado Garcia (serving the Cape Verdean community) and Rev. Faith Formation & Religious Education
The Tri-Parishes welcome all children into a comprehensive religious education program with classes and instructors who speak multiple languages. Sacramental Preparation takes place in Grade 2 for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist; for the 2025-2026 academic year, Confirmation preparation begins in Grade 7, with reception of the Sacrament in Grades 8 and 9. Beginning in 2025-2026, all Faith Formation classes, including Confirmation, take place on Sunday mornings (with one class at St. Edith Stein), helping to facilitate the move to Grade 8 Confirmation in line with the Archdiocese of Boston. The collaborative also offers special sacramental preparation for children with social or educational needs, as well as an OCIA for Children program for school-age children not yet baptized or behind the usual sacramental schedule.

Adult Faith Formation — RCIA / OCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA, also called OCIA) is the collaborative's process through which adults learn about the Catholic faith and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Ministries & Outreach
Beyond liturgy and formation, the collaborative supports a range of parish ministries that put faith into action. The Homebound Ministry trains Eucharistic Ministers to bring Communion to the sick and elderly. The Digital Media Ministry supports livestreaming and presentation technology across all three parish locations. The collaborative's social outreach is referenced through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. In addition, each parish community is supported by volunteer catechists and liturgical ministers, and the collaborative periodically gathers for events such as Charismatic Prayer evenings and a Tri-Parish Celebration of Faith.

Sacraments
The Tri-Parishes celebrate all seven Catholic sacraments. Families seeking Baptism are asked to call the parish office. First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are prepared in Grade 2; Confirmation is prepared beginning in Grade 7 (reception in Grades 8 and 9 for 2025-2026). Couples preparing for Matrimony are asked to call the parish office to schedule a meeting with clergy before choosing a wedding date. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at Our Lady of Lourdes and Christ the King on Saturdays from 3:00 to 3:45 PM, and at St. Edith Stein from 3:30 to 4:15 PM, or by appointment.
