Our Lady of La Vang Vietnamese Catholic Parish is a vibrant, Vietnamese-language parish of the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama, located in the historic St. John Bosco Church building in Birmingham's Woodlawn neighborhood. Established in 2003, the parish gathers the local Vietnamese Catholic community around the intercession of Our Lady of La Vang, a beloved Marian devotion that sustained persecuted Catholics in 18th-century Vietnam. Its liturgies, sacramental life, and pastoral care are offered in Vietnamese and are open to all who wish to pray. The parish is led by Father Douglas Vu, who was installed as pastor in January 2023.

History & Heritage
Our Lady of La Vang Parish was founded in 2003 to serve Vietnamese Catholics in the Birmingham area. The parish meets in St. John Bosco Church, a building originally dedicated in 1928 as St. Clement Church and rededicated as St. John Bosco in 1974. The building is part of the Woodlawn Historic District.
Liturgical Life
Mass is celebrated in Vietnamese. Weekday Masses are typically offered Monday through Friday, with a Saturday Vigil and Sunday Mass. Confession and adoration are reported before the Sunday Mass, but parishioners should confirm current schedules with the parish office.
