About Us
Our Lady of Hope Parish is a community dedicated to living and spreading the Joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, taught by the Roman Catholic Church, through Word, Sacrament, Service and Schools; with Mary serving as our model on our journey to God.
History
The parish was formed on August 31, 2008, by the merger of two Catholic churches in Washington, Indiana. Its patroness, Our Lady of Pontmain, is honored for a 1871 apparition in France during the Franco-Prussian War, which brought hope and peace to the village. The parish celebrates her feast day on January 17 and uses her story as a model of faith, prayer, and divine intervention in times of hardship.
