Our Lady of Hope is a welcoming Catholic community in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, inspired by the Holy Spirit and guided by Mary. The parish was formed in 2009 through the merger of St. Germaine and St. Gertrude parishes and officially established as a parish in 2011. It serves the local community through worship, sacraments, and outreach, with a focus on faith formation and service. The parish is part of the Archdiocese of Detroit and currently operates under a rotating pastoral leadership following the passing of its founding pastor, Rev. James L. Bjorum, in October 2023.

History of Our Lady of Hope Parish
In 2009, St. Germaine and St. Gertrude parishes merged to form Our Lady of Hope. The transition committee, including both pastors, planned the merger. Fr. Jim Bjorum became administrator in 2009 and was installed as the first pastor on July 17, 2011. The parish is now under rotating pastoral leadership following the death of Rev. Bjorum in October 2023.
