Our Lady of Hope is a Roman Catholic parish located at 1727 Lynch Road in the Dundalk area of southeastern Baltimore County, Maryland, within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Founded in 1967 through the union of St. Mildred and St. Adrian parishes, Our Lady of Hope is now the seated (lead) parish of a four-parish merger that also includes St. Rita, St. Luke, and Sacred Heart of Mary, operating under the Sacred Heart of Mary–Saint Rita Pastorate umbrella with shared worship and pastoral staff. The parish continues the more than 125-year Catholic tradition in the Dundalk/Edgemere/Sparrow's Point area that began in 1888 with steel-mill workers gathering for Mass in a local drugstore.

The parish offers daily and weekend Mass with the Rosary recited after Sunday morning Mass and before weekday Masses, livestreamed Sunday worship, Saturday confessions, a Catholic elementary school (Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School), and active fellowship as the seated parish uniting Our Lady of Hope with St. Rita, St. Luke, and Sacred Heart of Mary — a place to belong, serve, and pass the faith to the next generation.

History of Our Lady of Hope Parish
Catholic faith in the Dundalk/Sparrow's Point area of southeastern Baltimore County began in 1888 with steel-mill workers gathering for Sunday Mass. A century of parish growth — from St. Luke (1888), to St. Rita (1922), to St. Adrian and St. Mildred (1948) — led to the 1967 founding of Our Lady of Hope from the merger of St. Adrian and St. Mildred, with the current church completed in 1970.
- 1888 — First Masses celebrated for Bethlehem Steel workers at Sparrow's Point; St. Luke Church built at Fifth & D Streets.
- 1922 — Dundalk mission of St. Luke becomes the independent parish of St. Rita.
- 1944/1948 — St. Adrian (Inverness) and St. Mildred (Gray Manor) established as separate parishes under Rev. Thomas Zinkand.
- 1950 — 22-acre site on Lynch Road purchased for a future school.
- 1954 — Our Lady of Hope School opens under the School Sisters of Notre Dame, with Sister Mary Claverine as first principal and 221 students in K–4.
- 1962–63 — School enrollment peaks at 852 students.
- 1967 — St. Adrian and St. Mildred merge to form Our Lady of Hope Parish.
- 1970 — Current Our Lady of Hope Church at 1727 Lynch Road is completed.
- Late 1980s — Our Lady of Hope School and St. Luke School unite as Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School.
- December 2024 — 'Seek the City to Come' merger: Our Lady of Hope becomes seated parish with St. Rita, St. Luke, and Sacred Heart of Mary.

Our Lady of Hope is the seated parish of a four-parish pastorate formed under the Archdiocese of Baltimore's 2024 'Seek the City to Come' consolidation plan. The pastorate unites Our Lady of Hope (Dundalk), St. Rita (Dundalk), St. Luke (Edgemere), and Sacred Heart of Mary (Dundalk) under shared pastoral leadership and is administered jointly through the website shmstr.org.

Our Lady of Hope / St. Luke School
Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School is the only Catholic elementary school in southeastern Baltimore County. It opened in 1954 under the School Sisters of Notre Dame as 'Our Lady of Hope' school and in the late 1980s merged with St. Luke School. Today it serves students from Our Lady of Hope, St. Luke, St. Rita, Our Lady of Fatima, and Sacred Heart of Mary parishes.
