Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (OLOG) is a Roman Catholic parish located in Wetumpka, Elmore County, Alabama, within the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Mobile. The current church building was constructed in 2006 after the parish was formed from the merger of two earlier worshipping communities — St. Mark the Evangelist and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The parish takes as its patron Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas, and serves Catholics from across Elmore County with daily and Sunday Mass, the Sacrament of Penance, Eucharistic Adoration, faith formation for adults and youth, and a robust music ministry.

Our Story
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church was built in 2006 and is located in Elmore County, Alabama. While still a relatively new church, the parish began many years ago as two separate worshipping communities. Those two communities, St. Mark the Evangelist and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, came together and, after much prayer and discernment, decided that the two should become one. With the approval of the Archbishop, plans were finalized and the first phase, the parish hall, was completed. The new church is named for Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas. It is through her intercession and the power of the Holy Spirit that the parish continues to grow and build out its facilities.

Mass and the Sacraments
OLOG offers a full weekly sacramental schedule covering the Vigil Mass on Saturday, multiple Sunday and weekday Masses, and Confession before most Masses. Eucharistic Adoration with Benediction is celebrated on Tuesday evenings, and First Friday and First Saturday have their own special schedules.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Formation ministries serve children, youth, and adults seeking to grow in the Catholic faith. The parish runs a CCD program for children (PreK through 8) and welcomes adults through RCIA/Inquiry classes, an Adult Faith Formation Committee, and ongoing Adult Faith Formation classes. Formation programs require catechists, substitutes, classroom aides, and office volunteers.

Youth Group
The parish's Middle School Youth Group gathers on scheduled Wednesdays, beginning with the 5:45 PM Holy Mass and continuing with a meal and activities in the San Jose room. The Wednesday evening Mass is the spiritual anchor of the program.

Music Ministry
Our Lady of Guadalupe's Music Ministry serves all aspects of parish life. Liturgical musicians are called to minister to the congregation by inspiring them, through music, to celebrate Christ's life, death, and resurrection. The Music Ministry is open to parishioners of all ages who are willing to share vocal and/or instrumental talent. The choir sings every Sunday at the 9:30 Holy Mass and most feast days throughout the year, including Christmas, the Easter Triduum, Marian feast days, and funerals. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the church.
