Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine is a Roman Catholic shrine parish on San Antonio's historic West Side, located at 1321 El Paso Street across from Guadalupe Plaza. Founded on July 2, 1911, it is one of three communities that together form the West Side Tri-Parishes, alongside Immaculate Conception and St. Alphonsus, sharing pastoral leadership and a single website. Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine welcomes English- and Spanish-speaking Catholics to a historic West Side community with deep Guadalupan devotion and a Franciscan heart. Parishioners can worship at weekday and Sunday Masses, pray the rosary together on the 12th of every month, and spend a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration on the first Friday. The parish's Franciscan Outreach Ministry serves people experiencing homelessness with sack lunches Tuesday through Thursday mornings, runs a food bank in Room 3 behind the church, distributes food to seniors on the first Thursday, and organizes holiday programs at Thanksgiving and Christmas — giving parishioners concrete ways to live their faith in service to neighbors.

History & Heritage
Our Lady of Guadalupe was established on July 2, 1911, in a neighborhood with deep Mexican-American Catholic roots. It has long been a focal point of Guadalupan devotion on the West Side. More recently, it has been grouped with Immaculate Conception and St. Alphonsus to form the West Side Tri-Parishes, sharing one pastor and one website. Pastoral care was assumed by Conventual Franciscans of Our Lady of Consolation Province, who have introduced Franciscan devotions such as the Transitus liturgy and have welcomed friars in initial formation from nearby San Damiano Friary into parish ministries.

Devotions to Our Lady of Guadalupe
In keeping with the parish's patroness, the community gathers to pray the rosary together on the 12th of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the church. The shrine was also designated a Jubilee Church for the Holy Year 2025, with special Jubilee Masses and Marian devotions scheduled throughout the year.

Franciscan Outreach Ministry (FOM)
The Franciscan Outreach Ministry is the parish's main charitable arm. Its mission is to provide healthy meals and critical services that affirm the dignity of men and women who are marginalized and unhoused, and to empower them toward stability. FOM is supervised by Fr. Joe Bach, OFM Conv, and operates several programs on and off the parish campus at 1321 El Paso St., San Antonio, TX 78207.

Faith Formation & RCIA
Adult faith formation is supported through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), which prepares adults for full initiation into the Catholic Church. Friars from San Damiano Friary have been involved in leading RCIA at the parish, reflecting the close collaboration between the shrine and the local Franciscan formation community.
