Our Lady of Fatima Mission

Patroness: Our Lady of Fatima

The mission takes its name from Our Lady of Fatima, the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in connection with the apparitions she is reported to have made to three young shepherd children — Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta — in Fátima, Portugal, beginning May 13, 1917. The feast day is observed on May 13, the anniversary of the first apparition. The mission's patroness is honored throughout the apparition period from May 13 through October 13 each year.

Parish Staff and Clergy

Pastoral care for Our Lady of Fatima Mission is provided through the staff of St. Andrew Parish. The pastor is Very Rev. William (Bill) McDonald, a priest of the Diocese of Stockton ordained in 1989 after earning a Licentiate in Spirituality from the Angelicum University in Rome. He has previously served as pastor of St. Anthony's in Hughson, St. Stanislaus in Modesto, and All Saints University Parish in Turlock, and spent eight years as a seminary formator at Immaculate Conception Seminary in New Jersey. Permanent Deacon Mark Caruso, ordained in 2017, assists with parish ministry including religious education and Confirmation classes. The wider parish community is also served through the Diocese of Stockton's network of priests, with Fr. Editho Mascardo listed in residence in support of related parish work.
