Our Lady of Fatima is a Catholic parish on Spokane's South Hill, serving roughly 600+ households from its church at 3327 S. Perry Street and parish offices at 1517 E. 33rd Avenue. Founded in 1956 by the Diocese of Spokane, the parish is part of a tri-parish educational ministry that runs All Saints Catholic School (formed in 1974 with neighboring parishes). About Our Lady of Fatima Parish
Our Lady of Fatima is a Catholic parish of the Diocese of Spokane located on the South Hill at 3327 S. Perry Street, with its parish office at 1517 E. 33rd Avenue. History of the Parish
Announced by the Diocese of Spokane in March 1956, Our Lady of Fatima began life worshipping in the gymnasium of nearby Hutton Elementary School while its own buildings were constructed. After the parish school opened, Mass moved into the school, and in 1959 a 'temporary' church was dedicated. That structure served as the parish church for 45 years. In 2004 the parish emptied it to make way for a permanent church, which was built directly on top of the temporary one and dedicated on February 4, 2005 by Bishop William Skylstad. The cross from the old church, the original Stations of the Cross, and statues of Mary and Jesus were preserved and reinstalled in the new sanctuary. In 1974 the parish joined with neighboring parishes to consolidate their schools into All Saints Catholic School, which the parish continues to sponsor.

Clergy and Staff
The parish is currently served by Fr. Miguel A. Mejia as Pastor, with Fr. Vincent Gilmore appointed by Bishop Daly as Parish Administrator (Acting Pastor) effective July 1, 2024. Fr. Vincent splits his time with St. Mary of the Rosary in Chewelah and is accompanied by Parochial Vicar Fr. John Fidelis Kibombo. Fr. Patrick Hartin continues to celebrate Mass for the parish on a rotating basis, and Msgr. Robert Pearson served as the recent interim administrator. The lay staff includes parish and school leaders who keep the parish office, school liaison, music ministry, religious education, and finances running.

Sacramental Preparation & Faith Formation
Faith formation for children and adults is a major part of parish life. Children's Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Communion meets on Mondays at the Office Building at 6:00 PM. Adults seeking initiation or full communion join RCIA / OCIA on Mondays (or Sundays) at the Office Building. Baptism is arranged through the parish office, with Fr. Miguel meeting with couples personally. Marriage preparation follows the Diocese of Spokane's four-month advance-notice policy and includes an Engaged Encounter weekend retreat at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center.

Youth, Bible Study & Adult Formation
Beyond sacramental preparation, the parish supports a youth group for grades 6 through 12, a weekly Bible study, a separate men's Bible study (dates per bulletin), and a Sunday Liturgy of the Word for children at the 10:30 AM Mass. A 'Kid Zone' inside the church provides a restroom with a changing table, toys, a rocking chair, and a screen so parents can still see and hear Mass while caring for little ones.

Community Ministries & Outreach
Outreach is rooted in partnerships — between parishioners, All Saints Catholic School fifth graders, and local agencies. The parish refers parishioners to Catholic Charities of Spokane for additional volunteer opportunities with the homeless, elderly, single moms and dads, and others.

Our Lady of Fatima is a sponsoring parish of All Saints Catholic School, a South Hill Catholic elementary school formed in 1974 by combining the schools of three local parishes.
