Why belong here

Our Lady of Fatima Mission offers Union City Catholics a welcoming Sunday worship home in their own community, with a 9:30 AM Sunday Mass celebrated in English and regular confession offered on the first Friday of each month from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. As a mission of St. Charles Borromeo, it shares the full sacramental and pastoral resources of the larger parish — including faith formation, an adoration chapel, and a vibrant parish council — while retaining the close-knit, small-community feel that comes with being a mission church. Visitors and new parishioners are warmly invited to introduce themselves to Fr. Adams after Mass and to become part of a collaborative that is explicitly committed to forming Catholic missionary disciples in the Branch County area.

History

The mission was established in 1952 on 3.9 acres of land donated by Leonard and Agnes Stemaly, who owned Marble Manor in Union City. Their gift made possible the construction of a Catholic church serving the rural Union City community. By 1977, the parish community had grown enough to celebrate its 25th Jubilee with a printed commemorative booklet recounting the mission's beginnings. Today, Our Lady of Fatima continues as a mission of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and is a member of the Branch Parish Collaborative.
