New All Saints Roman Catholic Church is a predominantly African-American Catholic congregation on Liberty Heights Avenue in northwest Baltimore, Maryland, within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. It was formed in 1995 through the merger of Our Lady of Lourdes and All Saints parishes, and now numbers roughly 1,000 families served by 37 parish ministries. The parish lives out a stewardship mission rooted in Liturgy, Service, Evangelization, Fellowship and Education, and serves as a hub of Catholic life for the Liberty Heights/Gwynn Oak neighborhood. As of the centennial celebration in 2012 it has been guided by both diocesan and Spiritan (Holy Ghost Fathers) priests, most recently Fr. Kenny Udumka, C.S.Sp. as pastor.

History of New All Saints
The parish community has been shaped by a remarkable sequence of mergers dating back more than a century. Its earliest roots are in All Saints, founded in 1912, whose current building on Liberty Heights Avenue was constructed in 1930 and dedicated by Bishop J.J. Cantwell on May 25, 1931. St. Cecilia Church (founded 1902) merged with All Saints in the 1980s, and in 1995 Our Lady of Lourdes was added, forming the present New All Saints parish.

Father Donald A. Sterling — A Lasting Legacy
Father Donald A. Sterling was ordained in 1974 as the first African-American priest of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. After serving at St. Cecilia from 1974 (associate pastor, then administrator in 1980, then pastor in 1981), he came to New All Saints in 1992. For three decades he shaped the parish — overseeing rectory renovations, the centennial in 2012, and the 2018 stained-glass window project celebrating saints from across the Americas (St. Junipero Serra, St. Kateri Tekakwitha and a hopeful portrait of Mother Mary Lange). He was honored with a special Mass on November 20, 2022 celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. and was active with BUILD (Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development) in addressing the food desert surrounding the church.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith formation is offered for learners of all ages, with weekly K-Adult Religious Education classes meeting Sundays from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The program is administered by Mrs. Lisa Scott, the parish's Administrator of Religious Education, and prepares members for sacraments including Confirmation.

Stained-Glass Windows & Liturgical Heritage
The 2018 stained-glass window project is a major piece of the parish's living history. Half of the new windows depict saints from the Americas — including St. Junipero Serra and St. Kateri Tekakwitha — and include a hopeful depiction of Mother Mary Lange. The parish website features a video telling 'the fascinating story behind the New All Saints stained-glass windows,' and was done to reflect the cultural and racial diversity of the community.
