Most Precious Blood Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in the Diocese of Tulsa that celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass (the 1962 Extraordinary Form) as an apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP). Founded in 1995 at the request of Catholics attached to the older liturgical forms, it began as a quasi-parish, sharing space at Holy Family Cathedral and then at St. Augustine Church before purchasing its own building in Berryhill (West Tulsa) in 2013. It was formally constituted as the parish of Most Precious Blood on October 28, 2013, and today serves the Tulsa region and northeast Oklahoma with daily and Sunday Latin Masses, the full sacraments, and a calendar of traditional devotions.

Welcome to Most Precious Blood Parish
Most Precious Blood Parish, formerly the Parish of St. Peter, is a Roman Catholic parish of the Diocese of Tulsa that follows what Pope Benedict XVI called the Extraordinary Form of the Holy Mass — the Mass of the 1962 Roman Missal. Mass and the sacraments are celebrated in Latin, the official language of the universal Church, and the parish is one of the apostolates of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) in northeast Oklahoma. The parish welcomes visitors to 'experience and celebrate the Mass of the Saints,' and notes that the traditional Mass has existed for almost 1,700 years.
History of the Parish
The parish was founded in 1995 at the request of Catholics in the Diocese of Tulsa who were attached to the Extraordinary Form of the Holy Mass. Originally known as the Parish of St. Peter, it was staffed from the beginning by FSSP priests (with occasional help from diocesan clergy). The community first offered Mass in the chapel at Holy Family Cathedral, then — by the kindness of Bishop Slattery — shared facilities at St. Augustine Church in North Tulsa for several years. In April 2013 the parish purchased its own building in Berryhill in West Tulsa, and on October 28, 2013 it was granted full-parish status under its present name, Most Precious Blood Parish. Six FSSP priests have served as pastors; the longest-tenured was Fr. Peter Byrne, who remained five years before being transferred by the Fraternity.

Parish Traditions and Devotions
Over the years the community has gathered around a number of beloved Catholic traditions. These include special feasts for the High Holy Days, an annual mission and retreat, the May Crowning and Marian procession, the Corpus Christi procession, the offering of First Fridays and First Saturdays, an All Saints festival, and a St. Nicholas Christmas party that welcomes mothers from Catholic Charities' Madonna House. Since obtaining their own building, parishioners share potluck lunches after the Sunday High Mass on the third Sunday of each month.

Past Priests and Pastoral Succession
Six FSSP priests have served as pastors of the parish. The community's own history page names Fr. Peter Byrne as the longest-serving pastor, remaining with the parish for five years before being transferred by the Fraternity. The parish has also had the privilege of two ordinations taking place on its altar — those of Fr. Chad Ripperger and Fr. Paul Roman.

Sacraments
The parish website lists detailed information for Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist (including First Communion). Holy Communion is received kneeling and on the tongue, in keeping with the 1962 rubrics. Sacramental requests are handled through the parish secretary, Kim Homoney.
