History of Most Holy Trinity
Most Holy Trinity's history stretches back more than 150 years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Catholic community in the Delisle / Wolf River area was first documented in 1874, when Father Theo Meershaert wrote to Bishop Elder that a church had been built and named Our Lady of Good Hope. That chapel burned in 1905 and was rebuilt under Father Sorin. In August 1969 Hurricane Camille destroyed the church a second time. For the next generation, Catholic worship in Delisle centered on St. Stephen's, whose status was changed from mission to the main parish church in 1973. In 2006 Bishop Rodi approved a request to build a new parish facility on Kiln-Delisle Road. Construction began in 2010 and Most Holy Trinity opened its doors in 2011, with Father Paddy Mockler installed as pastor in 2014. The parish today celebrates 'Over 150 Years of Ministry' — a continuous Catholic presence that began with a simple chapel on Wolf River in 1874 and now thrives as a multi-ministry parish serving Pass Christian and the surrounding Diamondhead / Delisle area.

Music Ministry
Music is a major part of parish life at Most Holy Trinity, with multiple choirs rotating across the weekend Masses and room for instrumentalists and cantors. The Trinity Choir leads the 4:00 pm Saturday Vigil; the Uprising Choir leads the 6:00 pm Vigil; and the Cherub Gospel Choir sings the 6:00 pm Mass on the first Saturday of each month. On Sundays the Gospel Choir leads the 7:30 am on the first Sunday, with Danielle DesAngles, Cindy Drouilhet, Theresa Ketchum, Jason and Lily Pyron, and Mike Zeringue rotating through the remaining Sundays. The 9:00 am Mass features cantors (Denny Arnoud, Jason and Lily Pyron, Danielle DesAngles with organist Grace Necaise, and the Gospel Choir on the 4th Sunday). The 11:00 am alternates between the Cherub Gospel Choir and the Gospel Choir, and the 7:00 pm Mass is led by The Schadlers.

Faith Formation for Children, Youth, and Adults
Most Holy Trinity runs a full K-11 Religious Education program coordinated by Director of Religious Education Tina Balentine. Classes meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm and on Sundays at 8:30 am and 10:00 am, and teenage aides along with volunteer catechists assist the DRE. The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is open to 7th graders through high school seniors and meets under Youth Minister Matthew North. Adult faith formation is robust too, with RCIA for unbaptized adults and for baptized Christians seeking full communion, ongoing Bible Study, and seasonal retreats on the Way of the Cross, Eucharistic spirituality, and apologetics.

Parish Ministries and Outreach
Beyond faith formation, Most Holy Trinity has a wide range of lay ministries that put the parish's mission — Word, Eucharist, spiritual growth, stewardship, and advocacy — into practice. The Legion of Mary meets every Thursday morning at 9:00 am in the St. Ann Classroom under Ann Dennis; active members commit to a minimum of two service hours per week bringing communion to the sick, visiting the homebound, and supporting the parish's evangelization efforts. The parish also operates a Book Ministry, a Prayer Chain, a Door to Door Ministry, and several Bible Study groups. Deacon David Hebert coordinates Marriage Preparation and Annulments.

Sacraments at Most Holy Trinity
The parish celebrates all seven Catholic sacraments. Baptism is offered to parents who wish to begin their child's journey of faith; Deacon Norman Cantrelle coordinates preparation, and parents share their faith story and attend instruction. First Communion, Confirmation (with a dedicated Confirmation class), Matrimony, Anointing of the Sick, and Funeral rites are all celebrated in the parish. For weddings, Most Holy Trinity describes marriage as the beginning of 'making joyful disciples.' Funerals follow three sequential rites that the parish says help families prepare spiritually and emotionally to say their goodbyes.

Seasonal and Special Services
Beyond the weekly schedule, Most Holy Trinity observes the rhythm of the Church year with Ash Wednesday Masses (at 8:00 am, 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 6:00 pm), a Holy Thursday Mass at 7:00 pm, a Good Friday Service at 2:00 pm, an Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday at 7:00 pm, and Easter Sunday Masses at 7:30, 9:00, and 11:00 am and 7:00 pm. During Lent the parish offers a 6:00 pm Mass each Friday followed by Stations of the Cross, and a Lenten Penance Service (e.g. March 30, 2026 at 6:00 pm). Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated with a 3:00 pm service, and recurring parish events include Feasting with Father, Cursillo, the Eucharistic Retreat, and the Apologetic Retreat.
