About Most Holy Trinity Parish

Most Holy Trinity is a Catholic parish of the Diocese of El Paso serving Northeast El Paso from its campus at 10000 Pheasant Road, at the northeast corner of Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive and McCombs Road. The parish community worships in both English and Spanish, with a Sunday noon Mass celebrated in Spanish and bilingual elements at weekday Masses. Most Holy Trinity also operates an affiliated elementary school and identifies itself on its website as 'Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church & School.'

History of the Parish

The parish was founded in 1966 to serve the burgeoning Catholic population of Northeast El Paso and is listed by GCatholic with a founding date of 1967. Under founding pastor Father Tom O'Mahoney, Most Holy Trinity School opened in September 1968 as a single Kindergarten class. Growth was steady: first and second grades were added in 1975, with one new grade added each year until eighth grade opened in 1980, producing the school's first graduating class in May 1981. A pre-kindergarten for four-year-olds followed in 1994, and in 1999 a new, larger church was built — the former church, which had been physically attached to the school, was converted into a library and multi-purpose room still used today for meetings and events.
