History
Most Holy Redeemer traces its roots to 1866, when Czech immigrants in the Montgomery area established a Catholic mission initially named Blessed Mary of Karmel and later called St. John. The community built its first church in 1881 with Bishop Thomas L. Grace’s approval, then replaced it with the larger present church, dedicated on November 25, 1924. Catholic education has always been central: a parish school opened in 1886, the Sisters of St. Benedict began teaching in 1891, and the current school building was dedicated in 1950.

Mass & Sacraments
The parish celebrates Saturday vigil Mass and Sunday Mass in Montgomery, plus weekday Masses on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Confession is available Saturday afternoons and by request after the Wednesday Mass. Eucharistic adoration is held Thursday and Friday.
