Most Blessed Sacrament is a Roman Catholic parish in Louisville, Kentucky, belonging to the Archdiocese of Louisville. Founded in 1937 during the recovery from the Great Ohio River Flood, the parish grew from about 60 founding families into a community of more than 550 parishioners. Its current church on Taylor Boulevard was built and dedicated in 1962–1963, and worship continues there today under the pastoral care of an administrator appointed by the Archdiocese. History of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish
Most Blessed Sacrament was founded in 1937 amid the recovery from the 1937 Ohio River flood and the Great Depression. Father William J. Mulcahy, appointed as the first pastor, rented a former Baptist church building on Woodruff Avenue belonging to Brother Walker, and on the fourth Sunday of April 1937 he celebrated the parish's first Mass there. Within a year the parish built a combined school-and-church in the 1100 block of Berry Boulevard, with Mass in the basement and classrooms above.

Mass and Sacramental Schedule
The parish celebrates Sunday Mass at 9:00 AM and weekday Mass Tuesday through Friday at 8:30 AM. Confessions are heard on the first weekend of each month, beginning 30 minutes before Mass. Eucharistic Adoration is offered periodically; parishioners are asked to consult the bulletin or contact the parish office for the next scheduled time.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
Education has been central to Most Blessed Sacrament since its founding: the parish school was the original reason for the parish's establishment. Faith formation continues today through RCIA/OCIA for adults preparing for the sacraments, ongoing Bible study, and a parish religious education program for children. In 2004 the parish helped form St. Nicholas Academy with neighboring parishes to sustain Catholic elementary education in the community.

Facilities and Campus
The MBS campus sits at Taylor Boulevard and Hathaway Avenue in south Louisville. The current church — designed by Walter Wagner — was dedicated in 1963, and Pioneer Hall (opened 1998) serves as the parish's main gathering and event space. The original 1938 school building still stands on the campus and today houses elderly residents through a partnership with Catholic Charities and the Housing Partnership of Louisville.
