Pastoral Leadership
The parish is led by Father Binoy Kurian, TOR — a friar of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Assisi — who currently serves as Parish Priest/Pastor. He is assisted by three permanent deacons: Dcn. Mike Krempp, Dcn. William Montano, and Dcn. Guillermo Muñoz Medina. Two pastors emeritus remain part of the MBS family: Monsignor Joseph S. Scantlin (who retired as pastor in July 2016 after many years leading the parish and celebrating his 50th anniversary of ordination there) and Monsignor Joseph Pemberton (who succeeded Msgr. Scantlin in 2016 after serving as Rector of St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth, and has since retired as Pastor Emeritus). The staff also includes Business Manager Mary Kay Swenson and Administrative Assistant Lucy Machuca.

Faith Formation and Sacraments
Faith formation for all ages is a centerpiece of parish life. The Children's Religious Education program serves Pre-K through Grade 12, with two-year sacramental preparation for First Communion (beginning in 1st grade). The Children's Discovery Center offers early-childhood catechesis, and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) welcomes those seeking full communion with the Catholic Church, while RCIA-Adapted for Children supports baptized children preparing for the other sacraments of initiation. Sacramental policies include mandatory baptismal preparation classes, a 9-to-12-month Marriage Preparation process, easy access to Anointing of the Sick through the parish office, and referral to the diocesan Vocations Office for those discerning Holy Orders or consecrated life.

Ministries and Outreach
MBS is known for the breadth of its lay ministry — the parish proclaims 75+ ministries, with volunteer recruitment and training cycles running throughout the year. Pastoral care ministries include Stephen Ministry (a lay caring-and-accompaniment program currently recruiting volunteers, with training starting January 15, 2026) and GriefShare (a Monday-evening grief support group). Fellowship ministries include the popular Men's Welcome Weekend (this year August 8–9) and Women's Welcome Weekend (July 25–26), which together draw hundreds of parishioners and newcomers into deeper community. The parish also sustains a Caring for God's Creation / Laudato Si' environmental ministry, weekly email communication to keep the parish informed, and an inter-parish Catholic Charities counseling collaboration with other Arlington-area parishes.
