The Monastery of Our Lady of Ephesus in Boise, Idaho, is a contemplative community of brothers from the Fraternity of Verbum Spei who live out the Church’s proclamation of the 'Logos of Hope.' They serve the diocese as a spiritual presence, offering retreats, scripture classes, and spiritual direction while cooperating with local parishes. Named for the Church of Ephesus in Revelation, which is associated with Our Lady, the monastery seeks to be a visible sign of hope and a dwelling place of Our Lady. Visitors are warmly invited to experience prayer, Mass, and community life.

History
The community was born atop Tepeyac Hill under the protection and care of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It was welcomed into the Boise diocese in 2019 by Bishop Peter Christensen, who designated it as 'the leaven of the diocese.' The monastery functions as a house of formation while actively engaging in ministries to meet parish needs. It is named 'Our Lady of Ephesus' because the church of Ephesus in Revelation is considered the church of Our Lady, symbolizing the contemplative dimension of the Universal Church.
